Watercolor painting of a black woman in the nude. Her head is a braided loaf of bread, and she's kneading dough at a green table with a rolling pin and a cloud of flour around her hands.

Freshly Baked, our Winter 2023 issue, is now live!  Come knead the heat baked inside. Let your artistry rise. Get your hands dirty and feed your hunger. We are, Freshly Baked.

Lavender Lime Literary is a sex-positive publication, so hit us with your erotic horror shows- but note:  We are, ever and foremost, a trauma-informed publication.  Horror pieces that showcase abuse for the sake of shock and awe are not welcomed here.  We do not make a spectacle of the things which survivors have survived.  This does not mean that we do not accept pieces that reference, process, or outright purge abusive narratives, but rather to say that pieces that seek to profit off of the pain of others will not be considered.  Please see our trauma-informed guidelines for specifics, and be sure to include trigger warnings as you feel they're appropriate.

Submissions are now open and will close on January 15th, 2023.  Please see our inclusive submission guidelines to choose the best method for you to submit with us.

Yours in poetry and print,

We prioritize works from marganalized creators, including (but not limited to) queer/LGBTQ+, BIOPC, incarserated or disabled.  We never publish pieces that glorify violence or are racist, sexist, ableist, facist, transphobic, xenophobic, or any other level of grossness on the plight of the human condition.  Submitting such works will result in a permenant ban from any and all future submissions to our publication. Please see our submission guidelines and our commitment to being trauma-informed before submitting.
